Project Description
The Challenge:
Our client in Arlington, VA, was dealing with a kitchen that featured outdated cabinetry with a lackluster color. There were inefficiently used spaces, such as awkward gaps between the cabinets and the ceiling. Additionally, the narrow layout, combined with a built-in pantry, made the kitchen feel even more cramped and difficult to navigate.
The Kitchen & Bath Masters Solution:
To address these issues, our design team initiated a comprehensive kitchen remodeling project. We replaced the old cabinets with sleek European-style units. For the aesthetics, we selected a color scheme featuring a combination of black and wood tones that harmonized beautifully with the home’s mid-century design. We also incorporated a smart pocket door to conceal the coffee station and appliances. Adjacent to the kitchen, the TV unit was updated from generic, big-box store cabinetry to a more refined design featuring custom floating cabinets and shelves. The back wall of the TV area was enhanced with stylish slatted panels and LED lighting.
The Outcome:
The result is a modern and sophisticated makeover. The new kitchen maintains its cozy and warm atmosphere while successfully introducing a contemporary European ambiance. By utilizing a pocket door to conceal appliances, we created additional counter space and significantly improved the kitchen’s overall flow. Furthermore, the updated TV unit now serves as a stylish and striking feature that adds both visual interest and elegance to the living space.
