High-Rise Dual Bathroom Remodeling in Arlington, VA

Kitchen & Bath Masters completed a full renovation of two bathrooms in a high-rise residence in Arlington, VA. We converted one bathtub into a walk-in shower with a clear glass enclosure, added support bars in both rooms, installed new J&K Cabinetry vanities and fresh porcelain tile, and fixed a pre-existing leak along the way.

The starting point

Both the master and hallway bathrooms had remained unchanged since the 1980s. Aging materials and an inefficient layout no longer met modern standards of comfort, function or design, and the homeowner wanted spaces that would stay practical for the long term.

Our solution

• Walk-in shower conversion: One of the two bathtubs was replaced with a walk-in shower behind a custom clear glass enclosure, while the other bathroom kept a tub for convenience.
• Support bars: Strategically placed support bars in both bathrooms add safety and long-term accessibility, and double as niche-style supports.
• Hallway bathroom: Brown and gray-toned tile paired with a coordinating stained-finish (butterscotch) vanity creates a warm, contemporary look.
• Master bathroom: A white vanity and bright white floor tile give the master bath a clean, minimalist feel that maximizes light.
• Leak repair: Our team identified and resolved a pre-existing leak and professionally repaired the affected areas.

The result

Two refreshed, functional and timeless bathrooms that are easier and safer to use every day, with warm finishes in one and a bright, minimalist look in the other.
