J&K Cabinetry Kitchen Remodeling with Green Backsplash in Annandale, VA

Kitchen & Bath Masters replaced worn, builder-grade cabinetry in this Annandale, VA kitchen with J&K Cabinetry in Dove, quartz countertops and a dark green subway tile backsplash, and removed an outdated bulkhead to gain storage and height.

The starting point

The existing cabinets were outdated, deteriorating and no longer practical for the household. A bulky bulkhead above the wall cabinets limited storage and made the kitchen feel lower and heavier than it really was.

Our solution

• New cabinetry: Full-overlay J&K Cabinetry in Dove replaced the builder-grade boxes with a more durable, modern solution.
• Bulkhead removed: Taking out the bulkhead allowed larger wall cabinets, giving the homeowners significantly more storage and a cleaner, more streamlined look.
• Hidden storage: At the client’s request we added toe-kick drawers beneath the pantry and base cabinets, plus a tall pantry cabinet and a spice pull-out beside the refrigerator.
• Green backsplash: A dark green subway tile backsplash complements the living room wall color and creates a cohesive flow between spaces.
• Finishing touches: Champagne bronze cabinet handles and freshly repainted walls and ceiling complete the updated design.

The result

The kitchen is now smooth, refined and far more functional, with every inch of wall and base space working harder for daily use and a fresh look that ties into the rest of the home.
