Project Description

From a Dark Black Kitchen to Soft Sage Green in Washington, DC

After years in a dark, outdated black kitchen, the homeowners in this Washington, DC home wanted a brighter, softer and more welcoming space. Kitchen & Bath Masters delivered it with sage green J&K Cabinetry, white MSI quartz countertops and warm wood-look wall tile.

The starting point

The black cabinetry made the kitchen feel heavy and closed in, and it no longer matched the fresh, modern atmosphere the homeowners were after.

Our solution

  • Sage green cabinets: Full-overlay J&K cabinets in a soft sage (aqua-green) finish immediately brightened the room and gave it a calm, modern character.
  • White quartz countertops: Sleek white quartz countertops reflect light and add freshness.
  • Wood-look wall tile: Wood-look tile adds warmth and balances the soft green.
  • Subway backsplash: A classic subway tile backsplash keeps the look clean and timeless.
  • Pull-out storage: Pull-out cabinets make pots, pans and pantry items easy to reach.

The result

The kitchen is now significantly brighter, more functional and more inviting, with a harmonious mix of soft green, white and natural tones. The homeowners were thrilled with the transformation.
