Project Description
The Challenge:
Our client in Arlington, VA, was dealing with an existing kitchen that lacked a modern look and functionality. Its layout and storage were inefficient, making daily use challenging and limiting the space’s overall potential.
The Kitchen & Bath Masters Solution:
To resolve these issues and enhance both function and flow, our design team initiated a comprehensive kitchen remodeling project, redesigning the layout and installing new cabinetry tailored to the kitchen’s proportions. The peninsula was extended to create additional workspace and improve overall usability.
Aesthetically, pistachio green base cabinets were paired with warm wood tone upper cabinets, achieving a balanced and cohesive look that ties in seamlessly with the rest of the home. Floating shelves and a bar area were incorporated to add refined design touches, while under cabinet lighting improved visibility and made the kitchen more functional for everyday use. As a focal point, a large white cabinet was introduced, providing ample storage while visually brightening the space and making it feel more open. Finally, the flooring was refreshed with smoky gray tiles, adding contrast and depth and connecting the design elements without overwhelming the compact space.
The Outcome:
The finished kitchen is more organized, efficient, and visually balanced. Despite its compact size, the space now feels thoughtfully designed and significantly more functional, fully aligned with the client’s vision.
